Afrikana is excited to host our inaugural Screenwriter’s Competition and Table Read at this year’s festival! Our selected jurors will join the three finalists and some of Richmond’s finest theatrical voices in a closed session to select the grand prize winner. The winner will be the first to participate in Afrikana’s residency in 2023, with funding and additional resources to bring their script to life! The film will have its World Premiere at Afrikana 2023.
