Artist's Bio

Akosua adoma owusu

Born in New York City, Chelsea Projects. Rissa Davis started acting in the neighborhood recreation center named The Hudson Guild. Going to free camp during the summer she started doing plays at Camp Madison Felicia. When her mother moved to Columbia, South Carolina she started taking drama classes at Benedict College. Rissa
Davis moved back to NYC with her grandmother and Aunt and pursued her acting career. She trained with Tina Sattin who trained Wesley Snipes and Denzel Washington. Rissa booked her first film, 4 The Goodtimes that played on Bet, then she booked a national Special K commercial. More films starting coming her way. The
Eddie Black Story (Deceptz) that was released at New York Film Festival, Redbox, Urban Film Festival. She went on to train with Susan Batson to perfect her craft where she met her friend's Ruya and Michael. They came together to do this amazing film with director Robin Singer, “Interference”.
